Stealth Bags Over Logos: My Favorite Bags Of 2024

Jordan’s Favorite bags of 2024

As 2025 begins, I’m taking a moment to reflect on my top three most-used and loved bags from 2024. First, let me introduce myself—I’m Jordan, the Chief Operating Officer at Rotate Archive, and this marks our very first post on The Rotate Edit!

Last year brought many shifts in the fashion world, and my personal taste evolved. I purchase and wear items I actually love Nothing is too precious you might see me at the grocery store with my Hermes Birkin. I look to trends for inspiration rather than fully coping . I’ve transitioned from a love of logomania to embracing quiet luxury opting for pieces with understated elegance rather than obvious logos.

Coming in at number three on my list is the Balenciaga Neo City bag. After years of admiring this iconic piece, I finally decided to add it to my collection. This bag is deeply nostalgic for me, evoking memories of the early 2000s and 2010s. The Balenciaga City bag has earned its place as a timeless classic, and I adore the effortless, chic touch it adds to any outfit.

I’ve been using it as my gym and Pilates bag, often channeling Kim K vibes circa 2012. The lightweight, soft lambskin leather is a dream—it’s one of those rare materials that looks even better with wear. In just six months, I’ve managed to break it in beautifully. However, as much as I’ve loved using it, I find it slightly limiting as a work bag. While it fits my 13-inch MacBook, it’s a tight squeeze, which has kept me from using it as often as I’d like for work.

In second place is my Bottega Veneta Andiamo—and honestly, it lives up to its name. "Andiamo" means "let’s go" in Italian, which is exactly how I feel every time I grab this bag. It’s become my go-to for everyday life because it’s so versatile—I love that I can style it in three different ways depending on the mood or occasion.

It’s practical too. My 13-inch MacBook slides in perfectly, and it manages to blend elegance with functionality like few bags do. The gold knot detail is probably my favorite part; it’s such a small touch, but it adds just the right amount of personality. in contrast to the Mens Andiamo Messenger I prefer this one as it has a more classic style than Looking ultitarian.

I picked it up late in the year after obsessing over it since it launched back in 2023, and it’s already a staple in my rotation. I’m looking forward to carrying it into 2025—and I still need to make a trip to Bottega to grab the clip-on initials so I can truly make it mine.

some honorable mentions are Hermes Mini Kelly and my Goyard St Louis GM

The Birkin That Stands the Test of Time

Topping my list is my Hermès Birkin 35 in noir epsom with GHW—a choice that surprises no one. This bag has been my daily driver enduring everything I’ve thrown at it while aging beautifully. I’ve carried it to the ground, and yet, it’s a piece I know I’ll still be using 30 years from now. Even if the corners have holes by then, Epsom is a structured leather that doesnt slouch Birkins are meant to be used they are not closet decor—just like 90s supermodel Linda Evangelista’s Birkin, which she famously wore every day since 1985. In her Vogue interview, she called it a “classic” and I couldn’t agree more.

This bag truly fits all my needs. I can slip my MacBook in and out with ease, and even when full—yes, it can weigh up to 20 pounds—it feels manageable thanks to its smart design and my commitment to lifting (thanks, gym days). It’s been used so much that, cost-per-wear, it’s practically free at this point.

For me, nothing is too precious to be used. If I’ve invested in something, I believe in enjoying it fully. A bag like this isn’t just an accessory—it’s a partner in my daily life, carrying my essentials, my stories, and a bit of history every day.

Looking ahead to 2025, my wishlist reflects my evolving style goals. I’m dreaming of a Kelly 35 in Box leather or a Birkin 40 in Togo—I’m chasing that slouchy, effortlessly chic look. And, for a bold change, I’ve decided to step out of my comfort zone and invest in a bag that isn’t black. If you know me, this is a shocking twist, but sometimes, you need to break your own rules.

Fashion is about living with the pieces you love—using them, enjoying them, and letting them tell your story. At Rotate Edit, we’re here to celebrate every scratch, every worn corner, and every moment that makes your collection truly yours.
